CSULB AI CLUB PRESENTS
24 hours. Real data. No limits.
MAY 22-23, 2026
AIXDATA is the CSULB AI Club's annual datathon — a 24-hour competition where teams extract insights from real-world datasets and present their findings to a panel of judges. Open to all university students with no experience required.
Whether you're running your first regression or fine-tuning a neural net, there's a track for you. Workshops, mentors, free food, and prizes across both days.
Project submissions will be done through DevPost.

Work with labeled datasets to build classification and regression models. Predict outcomes, score accuracy, and optimize performance.
Discover hidden patterns in unlabeled data. Cluster, compress, and explore without predefined answers.
Build models that see. Classify images, detect objects, and extract meaning from visual data.
To Be Determined — details coming soon.
A datathon is a data science competition where teams analyze a real dataset and present insights within a fixed time window. Unlike hackathons focused on building apps, datathons emphasize analysis, modeling, and data storytelling.
Events on Pine — 3rd Floor, 140 Pine Ave, Downtown Long Beach, CA 90802.
Open to all university students — any major, any year, any experience level. Beginner workshops and mentors are available throughout the day so you don't need a background in ML to compete.
Teams must have a minimum of 4 members. There are a maximum of 6 teams and 56 participants total. Solo/individual participation is not available — you must be on a team. Team formation will be held at the beginning of the event for those who still need a team.
No. AIXDATA is completely free to attend. Meals and snacks throughout the day are included, thanks to our sponsors.
Your laptop, charger, a valid university student ID, and your best ideas. We'll handle the rest.
Datasets are revealed at the opening ceremony — everyone starts at the same time. No early access, no exceptions. Keeps it fair and keeps it exciting.
Industry professionals and researchers sharing insights. Announcements coming soon.
